Nov.2nd, 2014

What a great visit! Our first ride for early entry was MF, as usual. We got to ride the recently loaded red train, and were hit with a sheet of water going down first hill..lol, quite a surprise, but made our ride even more noteworthy! We waited no longer than 15 min. for anything the entire day-even with the food deals. We took advantage of those later in the evening when lines died down. The merchandise sales were great too! The crowd level was very light, and that surprised me, as the sun was shinning & great deals on tickets being offered. We also visited the museum for the first time-very interesting, and warm too! Walking out the gate for the last time in 2014 was sad, but 2015 plans already underway!!!!

Keep passing the fun along!

It was a great day today. But, wow, that sun was bright! My son and I took our last ride of the season on TTD around 6, while my daughter and her boyfriend rode the carousel. Walking through the gates for the last time, looking back at the park once more, I patiently await May 9.

Was there from 3 until 8.did my closing day walk thru the park. Did TTD at about 3:30. Went to Mav,but it was down. Walked past MF. Got my free cheeseburger and fries at Pinks. Did TTD again. TTD went down(for quite a while down). First TTD after the downtime I was on it and got a rollback. First ever rollback for me. Good way to close the season !

And on our Mean Streak ride, the trim brakes were off(first hill)! We've never rode it with them off-WOW! The 2nd time, they were back on. What/ who decides the operation of that function?

Nice report, I'm glad you enjoyed the season finale. Closing day was awesome. I am glad I renewed our passes Friday, one less thing I had to bother with. I didn't get to marathon anything, I was with my daughter and grandson, but I did get to ride everything I like at least once. I got my 104th ride on Wilderness Run (Jr. Gemini) with my grandson. How many other adults have been on this coaster more than 100x in a season I wonder? I also got a trimless ride on MS, no brake at all. Flew through the first half and actually sat in the seat (I usually lift my but off so as to not get the crap knocked out of it).

Now that CP is closed, I am looking forward to the Lights Before Xmas at the Toledo Zoo, it is a great event. They have an ice slide this year, should be interesting.

Have a nice off season!

You're lucky to have Mean Streak without trims, I've been dying to try it for quite some time sans trims. Only time I think I'll ride it again and get my verdict on.

It was totally different without trims! I think MS is a good ride, if you(your body) can handle the dynamics. Still curious as to what condition(or person) decides when trims are off/ on-on any ride, if it's equipped.

I do know one way trims can be turned off but isn't something that should be publicly divulged. If it happened good for you I guess, but other than that I don't know if controls has the ability to turn it off/on. Or if maint. can turn it off/adjust it like Maggie a few years back. Someone else who's worked the ride that's on PB can come in and answer that though. I have limited knowledge of that back area of the park, never worked/ventured there haha

On closing day, I had trimless rides on both magnum and gemini. Magnum, it made the ride even better than normal, but gemini, that final helix was a bit much for me

Totally agree on Gemini..the final hills are fantastic sans trims, but oh the helix does limit my rerides. Maggie without trims, oh that's just marathon material
