GTTP MidWinter Gathering - Feb 9,01 - BW3

Just got home from the gathering and thougt I'd post a few thoughts on how the gethering went..I hope to see others add more from who was there and to see some comments from others who couldn't be there.
The night started out kind of bad..The Manager who was supposed to reserve the sections for us for our gathering screwed things up and basically forgot to do so. I scrambled to put some tables together for all of us with the help of Hothitz, Gofull force, and monster ride op...The rest showed up an in no particular order were, Skykicker, Tony, Raptor Jo, Corey, Natalie, Dan, Melissa (dans GF), Scott Short, and hmmmm I think thats it..If I forgot anyone please belittle me below..lol
We ened up hanging out until about 11:30 or later(thats when a big bunch of us left). Dan brought his famous CP albums as well as many of us as well. These were passed around and some very nice pics were seen. I especially liked Dans MF and Maggy albums... Also enjoyed Scotts pics..Oh and Skykickers Mantis Photo rocked..Nice shot guy!! I was impressed on what great ametuer Photographers were all turning out to be...:) Hothitz brought in a CP 12 mont Calendar to share as well as some old CP maps that were passed around..We loved JO's Employee related scrapbook!! I still think you should use the one photo Jo for your profile..Thats priceless!!
To me though the best part of the night was just hanging out and getting to know everyone and hanging out with old friends..Theres no way to describe the many and interesting Cp conversations we all had...Still wish I could of seen Coreys bird picture..His story that goes with it is priceless!! You the Man Corey:) Jo you looked great and loved sharing the laughs and chats!! Dan its always a pleasure and had a great time hanging with you last night AND earlier:) Scott looking forward to Timberfest big guy!!
I'm gonna let others add here as I don't want to steal all the thunder!!

belittle you huh, I think you are smoking the weed now. :) It was a great time. Those were some excellent pics of all the rides. Met some more good GTTPointers, skykicker, hothitz, tony. Me, jo, tony, and skykicker stayed oh till about 1, reminding me of stories that slipped my mind. Great stories from raptor jo when she worked their. All around great time. The highlight...

yes,i had a great time.met a lot of great people.also some great pictures.had fun untill my hotel room cought on fire at 330 in the morning.

WOW, your room caught on fire hothitz? That's no good. Although one could say it was the high "light" of the evening (sorry). It looks, well sounds that it wasn't anything serious and you made it out OK, so that's good.

I wish it were from the hot wings,actually the heater started to spark,so I unplugged it and then the plug started spitting sparks out.i called the front desk and she ran up to my room(unfortunately an old lady,just my luck).anyway she gave me a different room,next thing you know im looking out my window and there are fire trucks in the parking lot.needless to say,i ended up only getting about 2 hours sleep.
Sorry I didn't make it guys... had a pretty bad week at work and just wanted to chill with my hoochie, I mean, er, wife.

Jeff I can NOT believe you forgot Hooper!
The get together was a blast for me too! It was awesome seeing my old buds Hooper (aka my partner in crime) Jeff, Dan, Mel, Corey and meeting some I didnt know (but funny-they knew OF me)
The photo collections I saw put my pathetic collections to shame! Jeff-were you referring to the pic of me on Raptors lift hill? I thought the pic on my profile now was kind of cool!
The highlights of my night:
When my order was ready they called over the P.A.:
"Raptor Jo your order is ready" I thought they would get a kick out of that-and they clapped!!
The fact that when Mike Piazza was on Jeopardy Dan and Mel thought of me! Talking about some of the times we had, (NOTHING can top Hooper and mine MF stories and of course the shoelace incident-one of my personal favs!!)
The "bummers" to the evening:
The long, boring windy rainy drive there
Being exhausted from hangin with cowboys in Marion all morning/afternoon barrel racing
(I DID shower before the gathering!)
Hoping to see someone who didn't show
(sorry Rob-I dont mean you)
Having to say goodbye to everyone till Opening Day
The long, boring windy cold snowy drive home
I didnt realize how much I missed CP till the gathering. It was bittersweet even being in Sandusky less the anticipation/excitement of a day at the Po!nt. It was awesome seeing you all
and meeting you all too.

It was great meeting all of you on Friday. I had a wonderful time exchanging stories and viewing the great photo albums. Jeffrey, Dan, Jo, Hothitz, Natalie, Hooper and everyone else that was there that I forgot to mention,(I'm bad with names) I hope to see you all at the Point this season.

I had A great time meeting everyone that came to BW3'S on Friday. Matt & Jo had some great stories & most of all I met some great people that I hope to see & get to know better this summer at the Point. See you then.
