As you know you get 4 free tickets for working so many amount of days. Is 4 really enough? I don't think so. I think CP should allow employees to get more free tickets. Something like 10 would even be better.

I think thats a little carried away. I am grateful for just getting 4. I mean thats over 120 bucks they are handing us, when they dont have to give us any!

We can get discounts from HR on more tickets if we need them. And for those people who need more tickets, there are also plenty of employees who don't need theirs who are willing to make a deal...I haven't really heard of anyone who couldn't get the tickets they really had to have.

If you knew how to work the system, just get them from your foreigners. They dont need them, half of them dont want them or know they have them coming. I have collected close to 20 in a season. Use ALL your resources, just not the obvious ones.

Yes, after completing 28 days of work you are eligible for 4 complimentary tickets.

is that only available once or does that reset after another 28 days?

Re: Free Tickets for employees

It's only available once...and, if you don't want the actual tickets to the park, I think you can trade them for some sort of Challenge Park tickets, I'm not sure what they're for exactly, though.

Re: Free Tickets for employees

Yeah, be very careful about mentioning money and the comp tickets together because you can lose your job.

I think 4 is enough for the average employee. Obviously people who live within reasonable driving distance to the park would have more friends who they would like to give the comp tickets to. However, there are a lot of employees, especially internationals, who live too far away and have no use for the comp tickets. They are usually willing to give their's up for free anyway.

Re: Free Tickets for employees

I used mine for a friend and myself in October after I left. I gave the other two to the people next in line buying their tickets. It was my nice gesture for the day.

Re: Free Tickets for employees

Awe, Craig that was sweet of you. And I do think 4 is enough for one employee. They look along the lines of "the average" family size. I gave my mom 2 when she came to visit me during the season. And I used the other two when my friend and I came back to visit after I finished my season.

Re: Free Tickets for employees

You should know that reselling the tickets is grounds for termination. Look in the employee handbook, the rule is there. Giving us 4 tickets is part of our benefits, and we should be happy we get them. I give them to my family, so we all can enjoy a day at CP, the place I'm proud to say I work for. Don't take a chance on selling them and loosing your job, becasue it's NOT worth it.

Re: Free Tickets for employees

^ I totally agree...and you need to watch what you say on here because the high up's and management tend to watch this site super close. Saying something like "can you sell them in front of the gates for like 30 dollars cause if so thats like a whole bonus in itself"....thats BAD GAME!! And im pretty much talking to you "adidasman12". Not being rude, but that will get you fired in a heartbeat.

Uhh, yeah... if you want to lose your job quicker and probably lose your rehire status forever...

Edit: Well it appears most of you really got the point down but re-enforcing it still helps

Anyways, just be happy you DO get free tickets. If you're not going to use them, just give them to someone who COULD use them. No sense in wasting "free" money (in theory).

Re: Free Tickets for employees

Whatever to those that think people are being to greedy. I only work maybe 3 days a year at Disney World and I get a pass that allows me to bring 3 people in to the parks 6 different days. That is equal to 18 comp. tickets, valued at over $100 a piece. For those of you that say well CP is only open 6 months a year fine, that is still equal to 9 comp tickets. Yeah CP is on the lower end of giving comp tickets, but they don't really treat their employees well in any asspect.

You know, im not really a fan of you. I love Cedar Fair and I wouldnt work for any other company. Disney sucks. Im not getting into this argument with you. But the post that you just put on here is crap. Thats all I have to say.

Re: Free Tickets for employees

LOL I worked for Disney in the College Program last semester and the whole time I was just thinking... "You know, this isn't nearly as fun as working at Cedar Point!" It's not where I was working, either - I worked at Rockin' Rollercoaster. Disney, being the evil global gymungous corporation that it is, can afford to give their cast members up to 18 free park hoppers a year. Never in a million years would I say that CP "doesn't treat me well in any aspect."
