What are your opinions about cp employees not being allowed to play any of the games? They get away with it all the time. Most of the games are impossible to win anyways. It's going to be rather hard to hunt down the workers disobeying the rule if they don't work for games

who needs the hassle?? I would not want to be the games employee trying my best not to favor a fellow employee, or conversly trying not to ignor them!! My job would be the top priority-and not worth losing over something so petty. the same logic goes for playing the games--it is not worth my job to have a stuffed toy...nor do I want to make someone else's life more difficult, eventhough I would not be recognized by any of the kids. It is mainly a courtesy extended by one employee to another--and believe me , sometimes the public has no leg up on being rude! Any employee who works serving other employees can attest to that!

dinosaur,

You are right. Of course, if you want one of those stuffed animals bad enough, you can buy them from the merchandise office. They are VERY expensive though.

I really don't see the problem with allowing employees to play the games, but i think cedar point looks at this way, an employee could just walk off with a big stuffed animal or stand and play the game for free all day if there freinds with the operator and that costs the park a lot of money, but don't they make enough in a week to feed a small nation anyway?

I think they should be able to play the games just not win a prize.

Honestly now...

How many of you employees HAVEN'T Played the games?

I got the whole family of aliens all colors and sizes. My last day going home i straped them in (since its the law buckle up!) and was on my way.

And the amazing thing was that you got those aliens right past the housing sups too...

I have never played any of the games in the park. After winning that 7 foot lobster at PKI, none of CP's prizes could ever compare.

Housing sups? Have you seen the people they have working in cedars? You can carry a keg in there and they wouldnt notice. Besides Rocky stayed with us everynight and we never had any problems...Didnt even have to sign her in. Poor Peter will miss her...she was such a doll.

Wagonboy--the last time I played a game at the Point was in 1972. I was not yet an employee at the time. I will not even let my children play!!

Tsk...Tsk.....Not letting your kids waste your money... Everyone wants to know how fast they can throw that ball. And sure you know you can throw it consistantly 3mph faster at the one in the front of the park... But still you just gotta know.

I dont care for the games personally. They just are not worth it, besides there is always employee game night.

I think that employees should be able to play the games. If you know the person that is running the game and he/she lets you play for free, than that person is just going to fry his own butt.

Re: Should employees be allowed to play games?

I can see why Games employees wouldn't be able to play because that's obvious. I think other employees should be able to play, but maybe not win the prizes. I don't know, it's kind of complicated.

You wouldn't believe how much some employees pay for the damaged prizes at the yearly sale though....

I think if they want to blow their money that way then so be it. I mean only like 5-10 percent know how its done anyway.
