Re: Line Jumping...
Preventing line jumping starts with EVERYONE in the line reporting it. I do not let anyone past me either if I can prevent it. However, I will not fight or physically stop someone. I will do whatever I can to report it to the ride ops. As has been said, sometimes the person(s) who cut the line willl end up so far in front of you that they will be on the ride and gone before you even get up on the platform. Hence, EVERYONE needs to report the jumbers. It is real easy for the last persons that they cut in front of to report this.
The following is what I was told by Park Operations and the CP Police. Walk back to the queue entrance and report it to the person at the entrance. They are supposed to shut down the line and take action. Ask for your spot back in line. They are supposed to escort you back and let you back in line where you were. If they do not, you can contact the CP Police and they will escort you back to you spot in line. If you are real close to the platform and close to the line-jumbers, you can report it to the ride ops on the platform and they should take action.
I have been to CP 15 times this season and have seen this happen 11 times. NO-ONE likes the line jumping, but NO-ONE seems to report it. I have only witnessed ONE person report line jumping. For some reason most people complain to everyone around them, but then tolerate the line-jumping.
What I would like to see CP do is establish a centralized phone number on their automated phone system. Assign a 2-3 digit code for each ride that could be dialed and would direct the call to the person sitting at the entrance. Then action could be taken without having to leave the line and trying to get you spot back.
The bottom line though is that if the people standing in the line do not report it or take some sort of action, then the line jumping will continue. These jumpers know that you will not report it so they continue to jump.
