Memorial Day Help

My boyfriend and I are looking to come to Cedar Point over Memorial Day weekend. We are coming from western New York, so its about a 5 hour drive. We are thinking that spending two days there is going to be more than enough. But we cannot decide on what two days to attend. We are thinking either Friday/Saturday or Saturday/Sunday. Or is it going to be really busy that it is not even going to be worth it to go?

Also, we would like to get some ideas for some nice, but cheaper hotels not at the park.

Your best bet is Friday/Saturday. Saturday and Sunday will most likely be busy, being the main part of the holiday weekend. You'll get some riding in Saturday, but you should be able to knock out a lot on Friday.

I have always heard that Sundays are the emptiest days, but I can't be sure. If you want something really cheap get a room in some far western Cleveland suburbs. You will only be a 45 minute drive away, but will save a ton of money. I looked up some prices real quick and it looks like 75 per night, but I'm sure you could find something even cheaper.

I just did a quick search on hotels.com. Bellevue Inn and Suites comes in at 54 a night that weekend from Thursday to Sunday.

You can find something closer than 45 minutes with a quick search, and there are reviews too.
