Free parking with platinum pass

Some of you may find this a pointless topic, but I am just curious. I just bought a platinum pass and I printed out the E-ticket. With the free parking that comes with it, will I be able to get the free parking on opening day with just the E-ticket or will I have to wait to have my card.

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

Yes...worst case scenario you get a refund at the front office.

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

Joking aside, I have a Cedar Point Platinum Pass and went to Canada's Wonderland this past Sunday. Behemoth is awesome by the way. Anyway, their having troubles scanning passes. I had to pay for parking, then go to Guest Services. Last year I would have been given a comp ticket, but since the passes were suposed to be able to scan, I guess they didn't have these. Instead they just stamped my hand as if I had already been in the park and left. I also heard about people having problems scanning at Kings Island too. I had problems last year but had not been there this year yet.

I could not find the information anywhere on here or the season pass part of cp's website. I thought i saw somewhere that if one person has a plat pass they can get a friend in for ert. I am buying a plat and my gf is buying a regular. Can i get her in for ert with me?

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

And as stated by Tony Clark in this thread,

Remember, the benefits are good for the Platinum Passholder only.

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

You may be confusing it with Coastermania, where the club member can bring a guest in for the event. Need paid admission, but both don't need to be in a club.

Yeah, they are having problems too this year. I went there opening day and they had to call over 3 people to let me go through the parking lot. Hopefully they will get it figured out soon.

Life is a roller coaster and I'm not strapped in, maybe I should hold with care, but my hands are busy in the air!!!

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

What they need to do is realize that the scanning system may not be working properly, and if you present a platinum pass, let you park. Don't hold up the lines for what is a known issue.

I guess we'll see how things go on Saturday.

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

I agree John. The platinum pass clearly has Platinum in large print across the face of the pass. Take down the number or something, but don't punish the guest (or those waiting behind) because the system isn't working.

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

I agree with not holding up the line but from listening to the conference call, they allocate the revenue from season pass sales based on visits . So, when you scan your pass you are not only contributing to that days attendence but that days revenue as well.

Re: Free parking with platinum pass

^ I don't think people are citing a problem with scanning passes at the gate, but the parking booths. Besides, the real figures come from the gate anyway.
