Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Can't do a poll here otherwise I would've. The wait will be long as hell and probably only have a couple chances to ride Maverick.

Front or back or middle?

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

ive done it all and i think the back seat is the spot to be! it gets the most whip around the turns and especially over the first hill.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

The only seat that I've ever ridden Maverick in is the front, so I'd have to go with the front seat!!!

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Same here all five times i've been on Maverick it's been in the front row. I will not ride in any other row, i love there being nothing infront of me.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

The back is the best! I'll say that for most of the coasters I go on. Exceptions: Raptor, Mantis, Mean Streak (OUCH)...

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Dvo, you havent experienced Raptor until you ride it in the back. That final helix is very powerful. On inverts I find (except for the huge ones like the Busch Gardens duo those are best in the front) that the front seat feels like you are attached to a hang glider, while the back seat its feels like you are attached to a rocket.

As for Maverick, Ive ridden it everywhere, the front has nice visuals but is more apt to cause you to bang your head, while the back you are less likely. In my mind, Maverick joins MF as two coasters where it just doesn't matter.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Front for sure. It's way more exciting and less painful.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Front seat is the Best in my opinion. Although when you go on the back seat..on the first hill it just WHIPS you right over the top..but thats the only thing that the back has on the front really..it doesnt matter what seat i get though..considering its Maverick and im happy im even riding it.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

In my opinion, the front seat is best (especially at dark). Going down that first hill, seeing the turns up ahead, and knowing you are a prime target for bugs is such a rush!

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

I'd have to agree with you coasterfanatic2012 all the way except that I rode 2nd seat to the very front. I know what you mean though about the bugs. They like to really bug you in the evenings and night hours while your riding one of your favorite coasters.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Thats why if it is not Halloweekends, once the sun goes down I stay in towards the back on any coaster, especially MF (that one seems to be the worst.)

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

TTD is the worst with bugs when your in the front seat on it at night. UGH! lol

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

me and my bro had front seat at ttd at night and i looked like a car after a whole night of driving. it was splattered on my shirt and all over my face. it was so fun but so gross afterwards having to wipe bug juice all off of your face lol.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Anywhere is good. I like the back but sometimes the wheel's were messed up and it had weird vibrations.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Haha really? I can imagine the amount of bugs. Where are all those spiders I read about when we need them?

That's insane though, definitely not into wiping bug guts from my clothing, face and hair.Better during the day.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

The worst problem I have ever had with bugs was on Millennium 2 years ago. That was some disgusting stuff right there.

Lol yeah see what I mean when i posted a bit up there..but yeah the bugs are SO bad on TTD at night thats why i dont ride it at night only in the day and of course not when its raining or storming.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

My first several rides were in the front, but after riding in the back, I realized that the back is by far the best seat. Part of what makes it so great is that you can't see what's coming up. I've gotten to the point where i've memorized the ride though, but the back just whips you around. It's amazing.

Re: Maverick: Front seat or back seat?

Force00 nailed it: less painful in the front. Mainly because of the OTS restraints, which I don't really enjoy having my neck whipped into constantly. Don't get me wrong, I still enjoy Maverick in any seat, but I've found I much prefer the front because I instinctively brace myself for the next curve and don't bang into the restraints.
