A couple housing questions

I'm sure I'll have more as I think of them but right now I'm wondering....

1. What does it mean when it says some of the housing is "on the peninsula"?

2.Which housing would you say would be best for me, I'm taking a car, would like to room with as few people as possible, and would prefer not to have a community bathroom?

3.It says when processing in, to go to the housing you choose....so basically are there no restrictions, just wherever you want to live, you can?

Re: A couple housing questions

1 - There are some Dorms "off peninsula", right off the west side of Cedar Point drive, and there are some "on peninsula", most notably, right behind Wild Cat. I'm not sure on names for any of them though.

2 - Can't really answer this one.

Re: A couple housing questions

1. Cedars and Gold are right next to the park, Commons and Bayside are at the end of the causeway, before you go over the water.

2. Bayside doesnt have that many people and it doesnt have a community bathroom, commons dorms has 3-4 roomates but communtity bathroom

3. Bayside usually fills up real quick depending on processing date, but other than that yeah.

1.

On Point housing is Golds and Cedars...no A/C, mostly internationals, not in the best of shape

Off Point is Commons and Bayside

2.

Commons dorms are the nicest out of all the housing...you'll have 3 to 4 roommates...maybe less, just depending...we have over 5,000 employees, so if it bothers you to room with people; then im sorry.

3.

And yes, you can choose any housing you want to live in...but, if you have a fear of spiders...and if you like A/C, then Commons....

Actually, there is another post on here about housing...you might want to go on there and look to see what other people say =)

Re: A couple housing questions

Trust me - live at Commons! You'll thank God every day that you can come home to sweet sweet AC! At the most you'll have three other roommates - two bunk beds in the room. The bathrooms are community-style, but showers are in their own, separate stalls if that's what you're worried about. Commons is where all the "action" is at, and if you didn't live there, chances are that you would end up spending most of your free time there when you're away from the park and not sleeping anyway. (I'm assuming you're a girl) so Golds is very very ghetto, and it's really your only other housing option aside from Commons. Golds is in-between Corkscrew and Breakers.

Re: A couple housing questions

1. The dorms are at the park. They're super old and super scary.

2. The parking lot is across the street from commons. The commons dorms are the nicest since they have air conditioning. You'll have to use a community bathroom. You'll probably end up with 2 other people. The commons apartments have about 10-15 people in them. My roommates changed almost daily. The bedrooms only had three people in them though and there were 2 bathrooms. The living room was air conditioned but it broke about a month into the summer and they never fixed it.

3. You can't live on point at the beginning of the summer because the dorms aren't open yet. Other than that as long as there is an opening you can pick.

Noone on my crew had more than 2 other roommates. At least not for most of the summer. For chunks of the summer there were only 2 in some of the rooms. I thought it was normal for the rooms not to fill up. Apparently everyone I knew got really lucky.

Believe it or not, I never had any bugs in Cedars. I was very surprised by it.

I went through the whole summer at Cedars, the last half was without my roommates A/C and I WON'T ever go through that again. Commons is the way to go.

Megan, Golds and Cedars are basically the same thing...they're both rustic and both have the same bugs, haha.
