Re: Proccesing Day Schedule
Like Craig and Nick said, your training on the day you process in is pretty much just watching videos, and yes, your JobNet page will offer more details to the whole process when they get updated.
However, it basically goes something like this...Go to HR, get ID and fill out paperwork, go to Park Op and get drug test form, go to First Aid, take drug test, (if you pass) go back to Park Op and give them the form. At this point you'll watch the outdated training videos and then head to Wardrobe to get your uniforms, then you go to the tolls to get your parking sticker, and then finally head off to whatever housing unit you're staying at and fill out some paperwork there.
After that, you're done 'processing in' and you won't really do anything else that day. I just kind of walked around the park last year with some friends, though if you do that, be careful.
The week before the park opens, there are a ton of vehicles driving around like mad men on the midways trying to get last-minute preparations completed....and THEY get the right-of-way!
The day after you process in, you'll head to a department-wide meeting/training and after that is completed, you'll head off to your ride. More than likely, your first day at the ride will be spent filling out paperwork.
Anywho, you wanted to know the first couple days, so there you go! It's a lot of paperwork!
But, use that first week to really get to know your crew, because they're the ones you'll be spending the whole summer with! I read countless posts and heard from countless people before last season that the people you work with will be like your family. I didn't think I would be the type of person to feel that way to co-workers, but that all changed really quickly, and now, I miss my crew more than anything, and it breaks my heart that some of them aren't returning this year.
