Opening Day Hotel Reservations

Does anyone know when CP will begin accepting reservations for Breakers?

Keith

Handle every stressful situation like a dog. If you can't eat it or hump it.

Piss on it and walk away.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

I already called and have the friday and saturday booked in the bon aire section. They will take your reservation and send you an email when the prices of everything come out. After you get that you have two weeks to get the deposit in on your room or it is gone. Hope that helps some people.

I have no clue what to put here !!!!

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

How are prices for the rooms during the "pre-summer season"?

Is it cheaper then fall prices for hotels (which sometimes are very reasonable).

I get done with college at the end of April....

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

Yes, lodging during the less busy periods of the season costs less than it does during the busier, mid-summer rush.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

I think last year I booked online in the middle of February and all types of rooms were still available.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

What are crowds like on opening weekend? What kind of lines should I expect?

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

Opening Day is generally up in the air, and varies year-to-year based mostly on the weather. But as always, no one can predict the crowds.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

I have gone on opening day the last three years and found the crowds quite manageable. The place seemed to have light crowds in the morning and was moderate in the afternoon as the park started to fill up and seemed to die down closer to closing.Just go and have fun!I hope to be there on opening day.I am trying to make it a tradition.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

The boardwalk is awesome at night. Walk through CV and have people offering beer and or food. Just wanting to hang out it's like a day at MIS.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

You may want to try to get your pass before the park opens. I would expect the line to be long. It would depend on the weather. Keep in mind everyone needs to have their picture taken this year. There is no renewal by mail.

From my own experience:

Waiting time for the season pass process around 7:00pm on 2006 opening day: about 90 minutes.

Waiting time for the season pass process around 6:00pm on 2007 opening day: about 30 minutes.

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

I made reservations for memorial day weekend and halloweekends.

I have a non smoking room with a queen size bed in the twin section.

I made a deposit for both times. The room cost $99 plus tax. Total

is $107 per night.

Are you sure Tax is only going to be 8%? I thought there were additional charges for city hotel tax and county hotel tax in addtion to the usual state sales tax. I thought it was up near 15%.

What is a bon aire?

Re: Opening Day Hotel Reservations

bon aire is the older section of the hotel, it is right next to soak city and challenge park. If you are standing at the main entrance to the hotel it is the farthest left part of the building. Its not bad at all. Unfortunately i had to cancel my reservation. The rooms are a little old with no elevator access. If you go into the reservations website and look any day at breakers you can see a picture of the bon aire rooms.
