8 Halloweekends next year! I've known for a while that there would be 8 weekends, but it's exciting to finally see it in print.

You think crowds were heavy for this years Halloweekends? Wait until the park is actually open ON Halloween. Yikes.

I am surprised to see the 2 weeks of 7PM closings again. When they changed their schedule this year, I thought that was the last of those. Oh well.

I was gonna edit, but a lot of people posted. I just noticed Sundays during Halloweekends won't open until 11 AM now instead of 10 AM. That makes me very very happy, as a night of Screamsters until 1 AM, then going out for food and being at work at 8:30 (for resort guests) really sucked.

While it looks strange with the park being open in November, there's nothing really different about it. October 31 lands on a Friday.

Actually, the parked closed at 11 on Saturdays this season as well.

I'm surprised that the first two weeks are still 7 o'clock closings. The weekend in November, will be pretty cool and the 11am openings on Sundays during HalloWeekends will be good for employees.

With that being said, I'm a little disappointed. There was a lot flying around about the return of 11 o'clock closings during the week and midnight closings on Saturdays during peak summer. Obviously, that's not happening this season, and my hopes about some rumors of pay have kinda gone out the window with it.

Ran some quick numbers to compare 2007 to 2008...

Total Operating Hours in 2007 (Excluding Joe Cool): 1543
Total Operating Hours in 2008 (Excluding Joe Cool): 1580

Total Operating Days in 2007: 139
Total Operating Days in 2008: 142

Average Number of Operating Hours per Day in 2007: 11.1007
Average Number of Operating Hours per Day in 2008: 11.1267

When just looking at the Operating Days that existed in 2007 (minus the November weekend), the park added 10 hours to it's operating schedule.

Edit: Changed date to satisfy Tim. *** Edited 12/5/2007 11:55:17 PM UTC by DBCP***

The nerd-ometer is off the charts haha. But that's pretty interesting. It just has to do with what dates fall on what day of the week, though, in my opinion. Seems like CP likes to open on the 2nd weekend in May and close before halloween, unless Halloween falls on a weekend, as is the case in 2008. So basically this is a good year for CP fans!!!
