Does anyone think that a coaster will grace the holy water park lands of Geauga Lakes Wild water Kingdom? ? Wouldnt it be cool to move the Dipper that looks like its going to be trashed, to the water park side? Problem solved , Coaster saved and coaster added? Im brilliant!!!

Coasters were there already. Apparently didn't make enough money. Now the coasters aren't there any more. It would be nice to see an old coaster saved, but until September I had never heard a good review of the ride, and the people I talk to who have been there didn't really like it either.

*Not saying history shouldn't be saved, just that it doesn't sound like BD was a good coaster to begin with, just old"

I actually loved Big Dipper, for the ride that is, and really have no attachments to old ones just because they are old.

And no, coasters will not come to WWK. I doubt WWK will even be around come the end of next year...

Relocating Big Dipper a few hundred feet isn't worth it. You're not brilliant.

And I'm one of the ones that DID like it.

I liked it too. I hope they don't tear it down...

^ - well, the highest odds are on it being torn down.

What you have to hope for is that it gets re-built somewhere else.

I still can't believe how fast the whole thing came about! It amazes me how fast the rides are coming down considering that the water park sat for three years!

^ Yes...how about that?

Considering the very limited land they're keeping after selling the rest of the property, there won't be any room to expand the waterpark, let alone put a coaster in.

I love the Big Dipper (still prefer the name Clipper) and she will be missed a lot. Many, many great childhood memories back when Geauga Lake was just Geauga Lake. It co-existed just fine with CP then. BD is a great beginner coaster for riders in training as far as today's coasters go. In my earlier days it WAS the big ride and lots of fun. Blue Streak was the biggest at CP then as well.
