I just purchased my pass today (Friday, Nov. 9) at Michigan's Adventure and I got my actual Platinum Pass. They used my picture from the current season on my new pass. I was wondering if that is what is going on at Cedar Point. My pass says Michigan's Adventure on it with a Platinum Pass logo in the corner. They are very similar looking to the Maxx Passes. *** Edited 11/11/2007 4:25:53 AM UTC by Michigan's Adventure Freak***

At Cedar Point I just got the piece of paper that you fill out and mail it back to them. Then they mail your passes to you in the mail.

No, ALL CP passes will get new pictures taken in the spring of '08.

You WILL NOT get your '08 pass in the mail.

Your Cedar Point Only vouchers must be redeemed in person at Cedar Point beginning in the spring of 2008. Everyone will have his or her picture taken for 2008, so there will be no renewals by mail this winter.

Your Platinum Pass vouchers may be redeemed in person at Cedar Point beginning in the spring of 2008, OR they may be redeemed at any other CFEC amusement park or outdoor waterpark when they begin processing their 2008 Passes. Everyone will have his or her picture taken for 2008, so there will be no renewals by mail this winter.

For instance, even if you purchase your 2008 Platinum Pass at Cedar Point this fall, if you’re visiting Knott’s in January, you may redeem your certificate at Knott’s in January.

I was told that they are implementing a new system with the acquisition of the new parks, and the new season pass deal. One that can be used company-wide. They would have done everything when you first got the pass, but I guess they're installing the system during the off season, for obvious reasons.

Jeff mentioned somewhere that they are scaling back the implementation of the new system, so maybe MIA isn't getting the new system yet? They could still be on the old one.

Loopy tanks for that info, my family has been trying to decided where to buy our passes. But now I see it doesn't matter as long as the they are platium passes they can be processed at any park. SO we will be buying Cedar Point passes for the Point Perks, but getting them processed at King's Dominion on March 22.

Summer is here!! 6 Parks and 46 coasters down including the OLDEST COASTER IN THE WORLD!!

Oh he did write the wrong month. It was suppose to be November not October. I know this because I was there.

FYI: Season passes can now be purchased via a buy now, pay later option.

Beginning Friday, November 23, we'll be offering deferred billing on all 2008 Season Pass purchases! Buy now, pay later! You won't be billed until March '08. This offer is valid until 12/31/07!

The link included in the email simply linked to the normal season pass page, so I imagine the pay later option is selected during checkout.
