I like the Zoom Flume raft slide the best. The lazy rivers are nice to. I didn't like the one speed slide or the original park. The wave pool is OK but too small and can get way too crowded.

2008 is Soak City's 20th anniversary. Wonder is anything special is planned.

The wave pool does get too crowded.My friends and I have had many bad experiences there.

1).One of my friends was sitting in her inner tube.We were in the deepest part, I think.An old woman pushed her under trying to get into the tube.We were so mad.We started screaming at her and she claimed that she was drowning, yet, seconds before she was swimming on her back and doing the breast stroke!
2).I have had my bathing suit top ripped off a few times, so know when I go into the pool, I wear a tank top.

Its a dangerous but really fun place!!

The hot tub is the best!

Zoom Flume is so lame.....Compared to Rushing River at Kings Island that is in the woods and is built into the terrain.

I've never been to the swim-up bar. I've never seen a top fly off in the wave pool but I have a feeling I have a whole new reason to go to the wavepool now.

By the way, when I went to SC this season, the wavepool was crowded. It was really fun cuz you are bouncing around in the huge waves as all the inner tubes and kids and such are all over. In the deep end, I grabbed a tube that was not used and climbed onto it and other people were also climbing on too! It was fun!

I whole-heartedly agree! I think I spent almost every single split I had in the lazy river, and then a nice nap on a chair in Choo-Choo Lagoon.

The lazy river is pretty well done, and Erie Falls is a decent slide set. Zoom Flume is pretty nice, but I've only done it with one other person. Overall, there isn't much I like about SC other than Renegade River and Choo-Choo Lagoon, though.

Three things you need to fix anything in the universe: duct tape, WD-40, and a hammer. Duct tape if it moves and it shouldn't, WD-40 if it doesn't move and should, and the hammer as the last resort.

Renegade River, I couldn't think of the name. I do agree, I liked Erie Falls, but nothing else really appealed to me at all. The wave pool is way to crowded, and it seems as if you can't move without a whistle being blown at you.

Zoom flume is my favorite attraction in Soak City. To get the most out of it though, you should ride with three other people (the more weight in the raft, the faster you will go and the deeper the turns). Renegade river is pretty cool too, especially drifting through the wave chamber when it's active. I'm also a fan of the tallest slides (body and tube), there is a tremendous view on top and it's pretty cool to go through the tunnels on the body slides.

As for least favorite attraction, I would have to go with Choo-Choo Lagoon. I really didn't get the theming there (a little dude with a pickaxe standing on top of a mushroom), and sand always collected in the area behind the train. The original theming of the area had deteriorated, and the dispatch booth that controlled the lights and stuff was removed during my second season as an employee.

In my opinion, not just because I worked there for three summers, Soak City is an awesome and greatly underrated part of Cedar Point. It is bigger than any waterpark where I live (Arizona), has some cool attractions, and can easily become one of the best parks in the midwest. Changing the music, sprucing up the kids areas, and adding a couple new attractions would be welcomed additions (All stuff we joked about as staff, who wants to hear "beach baby beach baby" all day?).

^ There you go - (starting with least favorite) I was going to say the wave pool, but it has to be the music. I have been to SC many, many times over the past few years, and I don't think they have added or changed 1 song. And the songs they use repeat too often. Castaway has a much better selection. Even Castaway's pure pop music is fun in that context. CP should let Castaway's person program a new soundtrack for SC.

The wave pool is too small for the typical crowds. And I don't like the shallow depth, or the way they keep you too far back from the deep end (which isn't very deep). It is pretty tightly surrounded, so I don't know how much they could expand it, but they need a bigger one, plus more variety in wave types. Plus more on, less off (I think it's 10 minutes on, 10 off).

And they worry too much. They run it so shallow it takes away a lot of the fun, and even promotes scrapes. Disney's Typhoon Lagoon wave pool is so deep you can go in well over your head (its awsome all around - and safe). You don't hear the constant whistle blowing like at SC either - maybe because people aren't packed like sardines.

The speed slides are good, probably my favorite slides at SC. Want a bad one? Try Disney's Blizzard Beach, something like the tallest fastest water slide ever. Good idea for coasters, not good for water slides. Painful. Wear a sturdy swimsuit.

Some of the tall tube slides are redundant (not thinking of Erie Falls). Maybe a watercoaster would be a good addition, but Castaway has one, and it's only an OK attraction - however popular. Flowriders are neat, but the throughput is bad, especially if it's 1 at a time, and someone really good is on. At Kalahari, you stay on until you wipe out. So I'm not sure how that would work at SC.

I think Soak City should add a Flowrider as a challenge park add-on.

I would pay extra for it to be given a time to come surf.

But not to sit and wait in line for 45 minutes.

I don't know all the names but my favorites are the Black Tunnel ride that is enclosed, and the big raft ride. That one scares the sh*t out of me every time I ride it. I always feel like I'm going to fall off.

^^^ Yeah, i agree, the flowrider is definitely one of the most innovative rides out there, at least as far as water rides go. It's probably the only ride of it's kind that I would pay money for. I rode one in Virginia and had a blast on it, and I'd try it again without a second thought!

The fact that CP thinks they can still charge seperate admission for SC is a joke. I can park for free and pay an admission for an indoor park thats twice as much fun, and with the addition of an outdoor park, will be ten times better than SC. (Kalahari)

Or, I can drive to CP, pay ten dollars for parking, pay another 30 dollars...for what? Plus deal with the overcrowding...ten dollars more and I might as well just go to the park itself.

Cedar Point needs to seriously re-consider where they put their money, lately, it doesn't seem to be going to the right places. Instead of ripping out old rides in favor of ones that have downtime, (besides Maverick), consider providing a service equivalent to its charge, something that Soak City is far from being.

I've never been to Kalahari but I have looked at their rooms and they are definitely one of the coolest looking places to stay in Sandusky.

Castaway Bay is highly themed though if you ask me and is a very nice resort if you ask me. Breakers might look better from the exterior overlooking Lake Erie but interior Castaway Bay win's hands down.

I have never seen the water park though. We were in and out pretty quick.

Now that I do think of it...a Flowrider in Castaway Bay could increase attendance at that park.

I think they offer a good deal with the ride / slide package for 2 day guests.

I have to say that living by Michigans Adventure is a bonus. I don't go to CP for the water park. I have went to the water park, but the 90 degree weather plays a part.

I think the Zoom Flume is easily my favorite, as long as I have a heavy tube. I really like Erie Falls and the wave pool too. I can see how the wave pool might suck if it's really full, but I never go to Soak City when it's crowded. (Last time I went it was 70 degrees and overcast).

I have a love-hate relationship with the speed slides in the original complex. I hate feeling like I'm drowning (water boarding, anyone?) but that's what makes them so exciting.

I must also have a love-hate feeling for the wave pool. Although it's a lot of fun, I tend to be injured the most by it. Scraping your knees and feet on the sandpaper-like floor isn't any fun. Last time I gashed my baby toe pretty bad.

I guess if I had to pick a least favorite based on how little I visit it, it would be the lazy river (isn't it (or wasn't it) called Slipstream or something?) It's fine if you want to relax a bit, but it's not much fun.
