Dont you think that the closing of Guaga Lake is turning out just like IDORA? There was no warning and a part of our history going down the drain. Now Guaga Lake is just going to be a memory of all the great times and the fun rides. we will be telling our kids grandchilden and futer friends about this once freat things. that will be the only think keeping the park alive. so there will only be a few people with these memories and soom they will be gone.

What's Life If You Never Get To The POINT?...see you in line!

Ok.

The park closed. There was no warning (which kinda sucks) but none of us know their reasoning why. It could be because they didn't hold the vote to officially close the park until the Thursday after the season ended.

Why did they hold that vote off? Why not hold it sooner? Were they waiting for some information? We don't know.

Besides, its not like the rumor mill wasn't flooded with tips pointing toward Geauga Lake closing. It was pretty obvious that the ride side was going to close, or at the very least be severely altered from what it was this season.

Spellcheck and proofreading are WAY over-rated.

Last time I checked, it was Idora...

Idora's most notorious ride half-burned down and then it sat idle for years. That was hardly a surprise closure.

Maybe they held the vote off till they got the final attendance Records, But still that would be way to soon to start deconstruction. They would have to get permitsfor that which could take much time to do.

Idora's half burned down rides were a sad tease of what could have been. I live within walking distance of Idora Park, and always hear tales of my parents going down there on a boring afternoon and whoring up Wildcat and Jack Rabbit.

Saddening.. yes.. I'm crying on the inside.
