CP has 4 haunted outdoor walk through attractions? Fright Zone, Carn Evil, Fear Faire...what am I missing??

August 15, 2007, 9:33P

Maybe they're considering Werewolf Canyon a walk through attraction?

I like the fact that the costume contest winners get to be on one of the floats. What was the prize before? Giant plush Snoopy?

August 17, 2007, 9:46A

I heard there was going to be another new walk-thru area this year. I don't think they were talking about Werewolf Canyon. Maybe I'm wrong, but that is what I remember hearing.

Of course now that I read the whole article they sure make it sound like they are talking about Werewolf Canyon. Oh well.

No new walk through for this year. Just the parade.

Come on everyone knows Werewolf Canyon is the best walk through in the park!!! Who needs the Fright Zone Ralph.

I've never gone through WWC because I can't justify waiting in the 2+ hour line. Especially with the Fright Zone right there.

Don't even bother. You'd think with a line like that you'd be waiting for something great. It was the biggest waste of time I ever spent in the park - and I am not talking about the line. I happened to go last year and walked right in without waiting. It was just plain weak and awful. Think of the lamest haunted attraction you have ever been in and dumb that down about 10,000 notches - that is how bad it is. Too bad because the attraction definately has potential.

I agree. I waited 2 hours for Werewolf Canyon and it was big disappointment. It does have potential to be something better, but I wouldn't recommend it.

As for the new walkway, where would it be?

Life is a roller coaster and I'm not strapped in, maybe I should hold with care, but my hands are busy in the air!!!

There is no new walkway.

I dont get the big problem with WWC, I enjoyed it last year. I waited about an hour (during the day light, I knew it was the longest line of the night and I had already done everything I wanted to do during the day) and the fog density in that thing was sick, I couldnt see my hand in front of my face unless a light was shining directly on it. Im doing it again this year for sure.

August 19, 2007, 12:52A

I like when the fog moves over to the other rides. One time last year all the fog blew over to Mille and you couldnt see anything or where you were. Best ride I have ever had on Mille and I dont even really care about the ride.

They always scare the heck out of me on the Frontier Trail. Then again though anybody can scare me any day. All you have to do is walk up to me when I'm really quiet and I'll jump....lol. I guess it's because I draw attention to them some how and they sneak up on me. The Fog is awesome though especially on Millennium Force. Best time to ride it during the day is at night for Halloweekends.

During the GOCC Fall Freak Out this past Weekend, we were treated to a behind the scenes look at some of the parade floats. Here are some pictures.

Those are pretty cool floats. I like the "stone monster" one the best. Did they make these for the park, or did they come from King's Island?

September 11, 2007, 12:40P

I think the floats themselves (the base I guess you could say) came from Kings Island. I believe they were used at they Winter attraction, but I could be wrong. Now they've been transformed. I too like the stone monster, and I also like the Halloween Antique Car. I want to be the one to drive that around.

We were able to see the floats from SkyRide. I found it interesting how several of them are using inflatables for the main element of the float.
