I went to cedar point yesterday and got 2 amazing rides on maverick after its long almost 3 hour break down. when i got off after my first ride on the front row i ran around and rode it one more time. I know think it is my new favorite ride at the park. i talked to a few other people there all saying it is there new favorite ride or right behind mf. SO i thought i would ask and see what people think who have rode the ride.

It normally takes me 15-20 rides before I can really tell if a ride has a lasting impact on me, but from the 3 rides I have had on Maverick it is definitely in contention to be my favorite coaster that I have ever rode...

I haven't rode Voyage or S:ROS so it's liable to change...

Well I've only rode it once, and I think I need to ride one more time to be sure, but I think it kicked Raptor right out of the #1 spot for me.

What is S:ROS and what park is it at? Just wondering

I'm talking about the one at SFNE (Six Flags New England). It has been voted the best steel coaster, and some say it's better than Millennium Force. (More airtime and other elements)

Usually when people talk about S:ROS and it being their favorite coaster, it's the one at Six Flags New England.

I think that it depends on the seat. I rode Maverick in the front and then also in Row 4. I'd say that in Row 4, it's #2 to MF. In the front seat, it takes the win.

I'm with Jeff. Although you get the whip over the first drop in the back of the train, the front is my favorite. And with the wait for the front seat being so short compared to MF and TTD, I'll gladly wait for it.

Yes as of right now Maverick is my favorite ride at the park. That would probably be different if the belts were not so much of a disaster on Millennium Force, but since they are and I only get to ride once in every 6 tries and so far I have had NO trouble with Maverick it gets my vote as the best ride there. *** Edited 5/31/2007 3:38:31 PM UTC by Morté615***

i will admit that maverick is a great ride, but i still think raptors #1 on my list.

I have gotten on it 5 times so far and each ride seems to get better and better. I notice new things after each ride. I think its the best coaster I have ridden.

I agree that it takes more than a few rides to consider a ride to be your favorite, but I've ridden Maverick 5 times and it is definately up there on my list. Probably #2 behind MF.

I dont know what the big deal is about MF. Yeah it is a great coaster but #1? The only thing on MF is the overbank turns. Thats it.

The off season is coming too fast!
