I was wondering where I might be able to get the physical dimensions of Millie. Not just height, drop, angle of descent, but everything. I would like build a scale model with my kids but I would really like to do it right. Anyone with info, it would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I doubt there is any way you could get those. Sounds like a cool idea though. I've always wanted to do something like that. I'm actually in the middle of making a wooden model coaster that I designed on NoLimits.

that does sound cool. With the hills you would just have to divide the heights by the same number (ex: 3 to 1. 3 ft=1 inch) what makes it hard with be the lengths of all the other track between the hills and turns. I wonder if putting in a request to CP or Intamin would be worth the time.

Actually, 3 feet to 1 inch would be 36 to 1...

I had this same problem for my AutoCad project at school. I did a 3d model of TTD on the computer but it was the same problem, no way to have actuall dimensions. I just had to go by construction pictures with a worker near the track to get an idea of how big the track was and then make guesstaments as to other dimensions such as the tower width the diameter of the supports and so on. In the end it turned out nice however I wish that I could have had the real dimensions.

Who would I contact at CP or Intamin for this info...I would really like to do this and if anyone has any info such as the diameter of the track tubes or the diameter of the footers or anything, it would be great! And I was actually thinking about 1 ft. = 1 in. So the first hill would be about 31 inches tall...what I do know is the angles of descent so the first hill wouldn't be so bad but I don't know how high the station track or the bottom of the hills are from the ground.

rails should be 5-6" Dia. *Should* Based on what Ive read, plus thats about standard for running rails. *to some extent*

Actually, vwhoward, if you did a 1 inch to 1 foot scale model, your model would be 310 inches tall, not 31 inches tall. That would be a tiny bit big because that is 26 feet. That also means that your model's total length would be 6,596 inches, or about 550 feet long! I'm working on a scale model right now and I did a 3/4 inch to 10 foot scale. Even that takes up 30 square feet in my room. So a 1 inch to 1 foot scale probably wouldn't even fit in your back yard!

From my personal memory, these are the numbers I seem to recall:

Intamin:
Rails are 6" in diameter
Track width is 2.5 feet, from rail to rail.

B&M:
Rails are also 6" in diameter,
but track width is 3 feet from rail to rail.

Don't forget, however, that the depth of the track varies, regardless of it's shape. For example, the box beams B&M use can grow taller or shorter depending on the design needed for that section of track. Intamin also does this with their box track, however, I do not know the measurements and so have to just leave you with that.
