Hello everyone, this is my first post here. I usually post at another CP forums site, which is currently down for technical reasons. So, I thought I would give this one a try. Anyways, back to my question. I'm not one of those people who stare, and re-fresh the web-cams all day (I'm not saying it's wrong, I just don't have the time, I wish I did...lol) however, I have not observed a soul at TTD doing any kind of work, or testing. Keep in mind I only get to view it a few select times on Wednesday's usually, and sometimes it the morning's. I am certain that last year at this time, it was testing like crazy. Is it because they just have more confidence in TTD this year with less testing needed? (highly doubt it!) Or, could there be something seriously mechanically wrong, preventing testing? I'm sorry if there has been testing going on, like I said, I view the cams very seldom.

Well I haven't seen it testing at all. I know they have put most if not all the trains back on the storage tracks. The only rides I know for sure that have been testing are maXair, Wicked Twister, and Corkscrew. I'm sure if they haven't started yet they will be starting real soon so no need to worry.

If you look at the station webcam, you can see water dummies sitting on the platform, so I'm sure testing will begin soon once they get a few more early arrival ride host there to do cycling. The trains were actually in the station a few weeks ago, but I couldn't tell from the webcam if any had actually been launched.

That last post is the major reason I've never wanted to post here, bholcomb. If it doesn't test, there will be NO rides on May, 7th. If you don't like what people put in post's, don't respond back. It was just a question to see if maybe anyone has caught something I may have missed. While, I respect your opinion of NOT caring, some of us might. These forums could do without all of the negative sarcasim.

Try to keep in mind that just because you can't see something on the webcams, doesn't mean that there isn't any activity going on. Theres more to it than just going out and launching trains. Also there aren't a whole lot of employees there right now and theres a lot of other things to be done besides launching trains at Dragster. The park will be ready on May 7th, just try to be patient.

Exactly. I'm sure there's people working in the hydraulic building, since that's where all of the ride's mechanisms are located. You can't launch trains until all of those mechanisms are working properly!

Cedar Point rocks my socks.

Off the top of my head I can count 25+ rides that have been cycled to prepare for the summer. Just because it's not something on a webcam doesn't mean testing isn't going on. Have faith that all will be ready by opening day.

As for TTD. It can't run unless the lagoon of Snake River Falls is filled and since we just finished cleaning that up, I would imagine it's not completely filled yet, so there's no chance of it testing all day.

Hey, there is something that I didn't know. Why must the lagoon be filled in order to test TTD? Does it use that water as coolant, or something?

If so, that would be a long way to run intake/outlet pipes. SRF is on the other side of the main lagoon/pond. I am curious to know now why they need to fill it first though.

It needs to be full in case a train flies off the track. The Intamin guys designed that 90 degree twist on the way up so that any residual inertia will cause the train to deflect across to SRF. If there is no water there, then they risk damaging the magnetic brakes on the train when it hits the ground.

That whole lagoon is interconnected. And yes, the water does act as coolant, like a radiator on your car.

I think TTD has been testing, I see only 5 trains on the transfer track. And about between 7-8am in the morning and there was a train on the track in the area where the ride is ready to start.

I am pretty sure that last year TTD did not start testing until early May. I could be wrong but I remember many worried topics about TTD starting to test later than other rides.

P.S: With more B&M coasters inconsistant ride operation would be a non-issue.
